“Skating With Girl” by Grooms // Prom

I’ve been listening to Grooms’ album Prom for the past couple of days, but this song is the one that just can’t get out of my head. Not because it’s exactly catchy, but because it’s a haunting, somber track that has it’s fingers in all of the right creative pies. Like Sonic Youth and Trail of the Dead jamming together and pulling off this gorgeous, atmospheric dirge out of nowhere. It’s a fantastic tune that feels lifted from another time (think of the golden days of 120 Minutes). Just press play. Highly recommended.
